This policy is a starting template supplied with the software. It is not professional legal advice. The business operating DetailQuote should have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer and updated to match how the service is actually run.
Information we collect
When a detailing business creates an account we collect the account email address, business name, owner name and any contact details, branding and pricing information entered during setup.
When a member of the public submits a quote request through a detailer's form, we collect the name, email address, phone number, vehicle details, selected services and any notes provided. That information belongs to the detailing business that owns the form.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the service: calculating suggested quote amounts, producing quote pages, maintaining each business's customer records, and providing account support. We do not sell personal information.
Data separation
Each business's records are isolated at the database level. One account cannot read another account's customers, quotes, pricing or account information.
Storage and security
Data is stored with our hosting and database provider. Access is restricted by authentication and row-level access rules. Credentials for third-party services are held as server-side environment variables and are never exposed in the browser.
Retention and deletion
Account and customer records are kept while an account is active. If an account lapses, data is retained for a reasonable grace period rather than deleted immediately. A business owner can request deletion of their account and its records at any time.
Your choices
Business owners can view and update their profile, business details, pricing and customer records from their dashboard. A customer who submitted a quote request should contact the detailing business they requested it from, or email us and we will pass the request on.
